Programme Manager Role at the Science Museum

We are very happy to share the details of this role at the Science Museum in London.  They are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead this exciting £60M project (no science background required).

The Science Museum is currently recruiting a Programme Manager to manage a complex and ambitious programme called One Collection. This is the Science Museum Group's major strategic initiative to re-imagine how our world-leading collection is cared for, accessed and shared.

The programme primarily involves the construction to a fit-for-purpose collection management facility in Swindon and the move of a large proportion of our extensive collection from Blythe House in London. They require an experienced Programme Manager to work lead the PMO and ensure the complex programme is seen through to successful completion.

You'll will take the lead on processes, programme tools and monitoring to ensure delivery to a clear scope, brief and budget. A key element of this role will also be supporting Project Managers in applying a cohesive approach to ensure the Programme Plan remains effective,collectively resolving issues that may arise and initiating appropriate corrective action.

It is essential you will have a proven track record of delivering project and programme outcomes that involve co-ordinating both internal and external stakeholders. You will also have extensive experience of establishing and operating processes in a programme environment. Robust under pressure, you will possess excellent oral, written and presentation skills, with the ability to influence others using personal credibility.

Salary:  up to £55,000pa + benefits

Location:  The Science Museum in South Kensington, London (with occasional travel to Swindon)

Employment: Full Time (35 hours)
