Our Clients

At Runneth, we help experienced professionals to take the next steps in their working lives by providing career coaching and expert advice.

The vast majority of our clients are experienced professionals – women and men – based in London.

Our clients span many and varied career backgrounds, from finance and law, to government and third sector roles.  We’ve worked with people in marketing and the creative industries, medicine, science and technology, sustainability and the environment, all of the major consultancies, the media, the diplomatic service, teaching and more.  And, if it hasn’t already been mentioned, we’ve most likely worked with someone in your field too.

What our clients have in common is that they are each at a pivot point in their working life.

What our clients have in common is that they are each at a pivot point in their working life, proactively seeking a step up or a change.

Perhaps they wish to change jobs or career.  Some would like to return to work after a career break. Still others are moving from successful full-time careers into part-time or more flexible roles to fit around other life and caring commitments.  And some aren’t quite sure what change it is that they want, but they know that they want something to change.

Our focus is on helping  our clients decide on the right next role for them.  We provide expert, truly independent, advice.  We bring clarity, focus and structure.  And we help with both the blue sky thinking and the ‘nuts and bolts’ practicalities like CV writing.

Runneth is led by Founder and CEO, Kath Sloggett, who has over ten years’ experience as a Career Coach and Adviser for professionals and entrepreneurs. Kath works closely with a small team of trusted Career Coaches and Associates.

Our Clients - Frequently Asked Questions

1. What do you mean by ‘experienced professionals’?

We simply mean people who have an understanding of themselves from having experienced the workplace in one or a number of roles.  Most of our clients have at least several years of working experience and the vast majority have completed further education (a degree or equivalent professional qualification).

We tend not to provide Career Coaching for new graduates or those seeking their first professional role, simply because our focus is on career pivot rather than career commencement.  Thankfully there are many other resources available for those commencing their career, including their university/institution and the professional body for their chosen profession.

2. Does it matter if I don’t know what I want to do next?

The short answer is no. Part of our role is to help you decide what you want to do next, and then we help you to achieve that goal.

Some clients arrive with a clear goal in mind.  Others arrive only knowing that they want some kind of change.

Either way, we will work with you to identify possible next steps, we will help you with any blindspots or untested assumptions, and we will help you cross off the wrong options as well as find the right options for your next career step.

3. Your marketing appears to be quite female-focused.  Do you work with male clients too?

We are equally happy to work with male and female clients and we are delighted that so many of our clients recommend Runneth to their friends, family and colleagues.

Overall our client base hovers around 70% women/30% men.  Our Career Coaching and Corporate Coaching clients are fairly evenly balanced, with a split of around 55% women/45% men, but we also provide Return to Work Coaching which attracts more women than men.

4. I am not based in London, can I still work with you?

The majority of our clients are based in London and it’s always good to meet face-to-face at least once if possible.  But we also happily work with clients who are further afield.  We’ve recently worked with clients in New York, Dubai, Dublin and Sydney.  For our international clients, we provide career coaching using Skype (audio) and schedule any ‘in person’ meetings to coincide with their trips to London (if any).
